Golas de Primavera/Verão :: Spring/Summer Scarfs

Não consigo viver sem lenços. Apesar do que possa ter vestido, se sair de casa sem um  ao pescoço significa que não me vou sentir bem o resto do dia. Sinceramente? Uso-os todo o ano.
A única coisa que odeio nos lenços é que estão sempre a sair do sítio (principalmente os de Verão que são mais leves) ... bem ... isso acabou! Decidi fazer golas.
Sim, foram a sensação deste Inverno, aquelas golas de lã tão suaves e tão aconchegantes. Por isso porque deveríamos deixar de usá-las? Vamos trazê-las para estes dias amenos mas ainda assim frescos!

I cannot live without scarfs. Despite of what I'm dressed with, leaving home without one around my neck means that I won't feel good the rest of the day. Honestly? I wear them all year around. 
The only thing I hate about scarfs is that they are always falling of (specially those light and summery ones) ... well ... not anymore! I decided to make infinity scarfs.
Yes, they were the latest fashion this Winter, those cosy and soft wool infinity scarfs. So ... why should we stop to use them? Let's bring them to these shiny but still quite fresh days!

Plantações de Primavera/Verão :: Spring/Summer Crops

 

Aqui a Primavera é, por excelência, a Estação de semear, plantar e ver crescer. Este ano há mais novidades por cá ...a mais especial é nova árvore de framboesas. E apesar de a termos trazido este ano, já está em flor. Vamos ter framboesas já este ano, oh my!

Spring is our favourite season to seed, crop and watch gracefull and green growing. This year we have some news ... the most special one is the raspberry tree. We just plant it this year but it's blooming already. Oh my, there will be raspberries around the house this year!

Cultivar na Vertical :: Vertical Growing

 Não que não tenhamos espaço cá em casa, espaço para fazer as nossas plantações é o que não falta. Contudo, não sabemos ainda bem que o futuro nos reserva pois esta casa é temporária e então, experimentando alguns princípios de permacultura, desenhámos uma estrutura vertical por forma a optimizar o espaço no nosso super-já-cheio jardim da parte de frente da casa.
Reutilizámos partes de 2 paletes e algumas ripas de madeira e foi o que obtivemos. São ao todo 16 pés de morangueiro. Nas "pernas" da estrutura vamos ainda pregar pequenos vasos com camomilas, oregãos e outras ervas aromáticas que ainda estão a crescer numa placa de sementeira.

At our home we have plenty of space for crops, specially in the house back. Our stay here is temporary and we are not sure about how roomy the next home will be so we tried some permaculture principles and designed a vertical structure to crop things in our overly-overcrowded front garden.
We reused 2 pallets and some wood battens and this was what we got. There are about 16 strawberries there. In the structure "legs" we will pin vases with chamomile, oregano and some other herbs that are still in the seeding plate.

Este fim-de-semana foi assim ... uma feira de artesanato cheia de vida e movimento. Obrigada a todos os que nos visitaram e de alguma forma contribuíram para a nossa motivação como crafters. E parabéns à organização por mostrar que Ribamar está cada vez mais desperta para o "feito à mão". Gostava que muitos mais de vós tivessem vindo*

And this was the weekend ... a craft fair full of life and people passing by. Thank you all of you that visited us and that somekow made our will to craft bigger and bigger. And congratulations to the organization for showing that this little village is awakening for all things handmade. I wish much more people had come*

Puro Entusiasmo :: Pure Excitement

Sim ... eu sei que (já) vos disse duas vezes que está para breve uma feira de artesanato.
Yes... I know I told you twice (already) that a craft fair is aproaching.

O que eu ainda não vos disse é que aqui, nos bastidores de Art Pompadour, estamos a fazer 3 novos projectos deslumbantes. Sim, leram bem. Estamos a lançar 3 novos designs! 3 peças diferentes que Art Pompadour nunca fez: uma modelo para bebé/criança, um para mulher e outro para homem.
What I haven't told you yet is that here at Art Pompadour's headquarters we are making 3 stunning new projects. Yes you read it well. We are launching 3 new patterns! 3 kind of items that Art Pompadour has never done before: one for baby/children, one for women and one for man.

Completamente novos, frescos .... e deliciosos! Visitem-nos.

Vamos lá Trabalhar :: Let's do some Work

Acabei finalmente todas as encomendas da loucura que foram os últimos três meses. Não que não goste de receber encomendas, obviamente. Mas eram mesmo muitas acreditem. Agora estava a pensar .... "(Suspiro) Finalmente posso costurar cá para casa e muito mais para o Vicente". E sabem que mais? Estava ERRADA!
 I had finally finish all the order's from the last three months madness. Is not that I don't like to receive orders obviously. But they were a lot believe me. Now I was thinking ... "Oh my I can finally make some personal projects and sew a lot more for Vicente." And do you know what? I was WRONG! 

No próximo fim-de-semana vai haver uma feira de Artesanato e temos pouca coisa em stock. Acho que vou ter que costurar em todos os minutos livres que tiver e isso significa uma coisa: que vamos levar o melhor dos melhores de Art Pompadour!
Peças de criança, mulher e HOMEM acabadas-de-costurar, cheias de frescura de Primavera/Verão e bem ... todo o amor que conseguir colocar em cada uma delas.

This next weekend we will be at a craft fair and we have so few items in stock. I just guess that I'll be sewing in all my spare minutes and that means one thing: we will bring to that fair the very best of Art Pompadour! Just-sewn child. woman and MAN items, full of spring/summer freshness and oh my, all the love I'll be able to put in each one of them.

Gémeas // Twins

Para as gémeas mais fofinhas dos últimos tempos, oferecemos dois conjuntos de babete e "agarra-chuchas" a condizer. Eram os dois parecidos, mas diferentes. Tais como as manas :), foi uma festa de batismo muito familiar e o Vicente adorou!

For the sweetest twins from all times, we ofered a bib and matching pacifier clip each. They were similar but not exactly equal. Just like those gorgeous babies :). It was a very familiar christening party and Vicente loved it!
