A todos os clientes e parceiros que neste momento aguardam as suas encomendas Art Pompadour, peço imensa desculpa pela demora.

De facto tem sido difícil conciliar o volume de pedidos com a execução dos mesmos e nem tempo tenho tido para colocar as novidades e inspirações no blog/facebook apesar de andar a trabalhar imenso, acreditem.

Quero acreditar que se trata de uma fase de transição e que em breve vamos conseguir colmatar esta falta de coordenação pedidos/execução.

As nossas peças são de facto 100% artesanais e únicas e não se fazem de uma hora para a outra.

O nosso espaço criativo está cheio de novos tecidos lindos e trabalhos em progresso (WIPs). Esperem um pouco mais, vai valer a pena a espera.

To all of our clients and partners that are waiting for their Art Pompadour's orders I want to say sorry for the delay.

In fact is being quite hard to manage your requests and the "making" part. Despite of working a lot this past few weeks I can't even find time to post news and this season inspirations on blog and facebook. I believe this is temporary and that soon we will be able to solve this management problems.

Our item are 100% handicrafted and unique, create them takes much more than one our.

Our creative space is full of new gorgeous fabrics and WIPs so please just wait a bit longer. You won't regret it.

Slings are really amazing and we can see them a bit all over the place ... in cartoons, in tv shows and believe it or not, in Playmobil! Do you need more evidences?

Lovelly Chintz // Chita amorosa

As slings são uma forma muito genuína de se carregar um filho. Mimetizam os movimentos que os bebés sentem quando ainda estão nos ventres das mães. É por isso que, quando estão nas slings, adormecem facilmente e ficam sossegados, porque conhecem aquele sentimento e sentem-se seguros, confortados.
Na minha opinião, o Verão não é a melhor altura para se utilizar este tipo de sling (pouch) uma vez que pode-se tornar quente. Mas o Outono vem aí e por isso vamos voltar a produzi-las.
Gosto muito de as fazer em Chita Portuguesa, como esta que vai para o Porto.
Experimente. Não há nada como o calor humano.

Slings are a genuine way to carry a son. The movement that a baby feels when carried on a sling is very similar with the ones felt in a mother's womb. So, since they recognize that movement, they feel safe and cozy and usually tend to fall asleep and get real calm.
As far as I concern,  Summer can be a tricky to this kind os slings since they tend to get a hot. But Fall is coming and we will sew them again.
I really like the ones made with Portuguese Chintz like this one that is goin to Porto.
Just try it. Warmth is the best thing.

Cobertores de Bebé // Baby Blankets

Uma das novidades deste ano para o Outono-Inverno são os cobertores para bebé. Há de duas espessuras: "intermédio" - para utilizar em camada com mais roupa de cama e "quente" - acreditem, só ele por cima dos lençóis chega perfeitamente. De um lado está o mais suave 100% algodão e do outro em malha polar ou peluche.
O tamanho é destinado para as alcofas mas também servem para levar no ovinho, para uma sesta em cima da caminha dos papás ou para tapar as pernas nos passeios pela rua dos maiorzinhos. O Vicente já tem o dele.
Porque o Inverno não tem que ser vivido a castanho, cinza e preto. Especialmente para as crianças.

One of this Season news are baby blankets. Available in two different thickness: "intermediate" - to layer in bed or "hot" - that is perfectly enough on his own to heat your baby. On one side there is the softest 100% cotton, on the other, minky or polar cloth.
This size is perfect for cribs but also to take them for a walk in the baby car or to cover them during a nap at mammas bed. Vicente already has his own.
Because Winter doesn't have to be lived in brown, grey and black. Specially for Children.

Quer sejamos um bebé a caminho e vá para o berço, com um um bebé-menino a fazer um piquenique com a mamã, ou com um bebé-menino e sua mamã deitados a olhar para o céu,um Quilt (manta de retalhos) é mesmo um objecto para a vida. É um companheiro de sestas, um aconchego no sofá, um chão que deixa de ser frio e rijo. Um Quilt é uma peça muito muito especial. Neste momento há um quilt Art Pompadour à venda na Together e o bebé que ficar com ele será, com toda a certeza, um bebé sortudo :).

It might be at a coming baby's crib , with a baby in one of his picnics with mamma or with a baby plus mamma laying down watching the sky, a Quilt is really an item for life. It's a nap companion, a couch warmth, a floor that is no longer cold and hard. It is really a special item. At this moment, there is an Art Pompadour's Quilt at Together for sale. The baby that will eventually receive it will be, for sure, a lucky baby :).
